Black Hawk/Central City Black Hawk/Central City has a vibrant history dating back to the gold rush and is one of Colorado's oldest towns. Briefly the home of Buffalo Bill, areas of Black Hawk/Central City look like a scene from an old western. Both preservation and restoration are an important part of this town, also called "The City of Mills".
